Empowering Our Community Through Opportunity
Niyyah Community Enterprise CIC creates real opportunities for children & young people, parents & carers, and local social enterprises across Birmingham. We build safe spaces, support families, remove barriers, and open the door to growth.
Birmingham has some of the highest levels of deprivation in the UK, with 47.4% of local neighbourhoodsin the top 20% most deprived nationally (Index of Multiple Deprivation, 2019).
Child poverty affects 37.1% of childrenin the city (End Child Poverty Coalition, 2023)— and these inequalities limit access to opportunities.
Niyyah exists to change that — locally, practically, and with community at the centre.

Winter Food Support — Apply or Make a Referral
Thanks to our recently awarded Winter Food Fund, from Birmingham City Council we can support families with emergency food parcels and basic essentials this winter. Support is available to anyone living in South Birmingham.
This fund helps us support families facing financial pressure, unexpected hardship, or temporary crisis — ensuring children and adults can access food with dignity.
MAKE A REFERRAL
We create consistent, relational youth spaces where young people can build confidence, develop skills and feel they belong. Our work includes youth sessions, mentoring, creative activities, sports, life skills, and financial education.
The West Midlands has one of the highest youth unemployment rates in the UK (13.3%, ONS 2024), and many young people face reduced opportunities close to home.
Niyyah fills that gap with practical, positive pathways.
We support parents and carers through advocacy, guidance, confidence-building, and community connection. Whether someone is struggling with school systems, SEND processes, or needs a space to talk — we’re here to walk alongside them.
Our Parent Network has supported families across South Birmingham, improving confidence, reducing isolation, and helping families access services.

We help emerging and established CICs build strong governance, sustainability, and impact. From 1:1 support to training, audits and development, we support local organisations to grow confidently.
The West Midlands is home to over 1,000 active CICs, one of the UK’s fastest-growing social enterprise regions (CIC Regulator Annual Report 2023/24).
We’re a small CIC with a big footprint in our community. Since 2023–2025 we:
Delivered 144 youth sessions, mentoring and activities across South Birmingham
Supported 42 parents and carers through advocacy and guidance
Helped local 19 CICs build strong governance and secure funding
Secured multiple successful grants to sustain local provision
Delivered half-term and holiday programmes engaging 209 children and young people
